About Me:

Hello! Happy Day to You!

It's so nice to meet you. I'm Emily. I strive to be a zealous, relationship building, and impactful lady. My husband, Zeb, and I live in the middle of nowhere Eastern Colorado where we raise cattle, lavender, and two adorable doggos! The view from my kitchen window centers me back to reality every day: #1 because the hills and sunrises are BREATHE TAKING! #2 because I have this sign sitting on my window seal that says, "Choose Joy". And y'all I am always reminded that joy is a choice in front of that sink because... I HATE dishes!

I grew up in rural Colorado where my passion for agriculture, food, and family blossomed. I was heavily involved with 4-H and FFA through my teenage years, and eventually ended up in Fort Collins to pursue my Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Education. After graduating from Colorado State University (Go Rams!), I started my teaching career. I taught Agricultural Education for four years, and now I currently have the privilege to travel all around the beautiful state of Colorado mentoring, supporting, and coaching first through third year Agricultural Education Instructors.

You're probably wondering, "Em, how did you to this spot in your life?" Well. That is an excellent question! When I was in the classroom, I told my students at the very beginning of each school year that although I did care about their math, literacy, and science knowledge, at the end of their time in high school, when they walked out of my classroom for the last time, my greatest ambition for my students was that they were good humans with good character. My aspiration and goal for each student that I worked with was that they developed their character to be good humans in their lives. And although I am out of the classroom, that is still my desire.

This adventure with all of you started to share some laughs, joy, and real-life stories of good humans with good character because we all need a little pep talk every now and then. So  lean in to get inspired, positively influenced, and most importantly connected to good humans with good character.
